Meet Flo - Integrative Practitioner & Healer
Holistic Practitioner · Acupuncturist · Occupational Therapist
In 2017, Flo returned to school to expand her clinical toolkit and deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection. Through her studies in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she found new ways to support harmony within the body's systems, helping both physical and emotional well-being.
Your body, mind, nervous system and daily life are all connected. That's why Flo looks beyond a single symptom to understand the whole person. Whether you are recovering from an injury or concussion, living with chronic pain, navigating hormonal changes or simply wanting to feel more balanced and energized, you'll work together on practical strategies that support your health and quality of life.
Her work focuses on:
Reducing pain and discomfort
Restoring balance to the nervous system
Promoting natural healing and inner calm
Empowering clients with tools they can use in daily life
Flo believes healing is a partnership. Every treatment is customized to meet you where you are, helping you reconnect with your body's natural capacity for wellness.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
Flo works with people at every stage of life, including:
Adults managing acute or chronic pain, muscle tension, or recovery from injury, including sports injuries
People recovering from concussion or brain injury
People experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety or nervous system dysregulation
People who feel stuck or overwhelmed and want a gentle, trauma-informed approach to emotional well-being
Women looking for support with fertility, PMS, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause or menopause
Anyone wanting better sleep, more energy and practical tools for daily vitality
Children and teens, with gentle, age-appropriate acupuncture
People interested in prevention and self-care, even without a specific diagnosis
Clients also often come to Flo for headaches and migraines, digestive concerns, insomnia and everyday aches and pains. Every plan is built around the individual, never a one-size-fits-all routine.
Flo's Training & Approach to Care
Flo is a licensed acupuncturist (R.Ac.) and a licensed occupational therapist (OT) in British Columbia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from McGill University in 2001 and has worked as an OT ever since, later adding acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to her practice. This combination lets her look at your care from several angles: the rehabilitation and daily function focus of occupational therapy, alongside acupuncture, Tui Na and TCM principles.
Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for centuries. It works with specific points along the body's meridians, from the hands and feet to the scalp. In TCM, health is seen as a state of balance, and symptoms are often a sign that balance has shifted. Using fine needles and hands-on techniques, Flo looks beneath the surface of what's affecting you, not just the symptoms you notice day to day.
Depending on your goals, sessions may include acupuncture, Tui Na massage, TCM principles, occupational therapy techniques, or mind-body practices such as sound healing.
