Acupuncture
Squamish, BC

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most studied forms of natural medicine, and one of the simplest. At Acuflo Therapy, we offer acupuncture as a caring, evidence-informed practice that supports your body’s own ability to heal, restore, and find balance.

Whether you’re navigating a recent injury, chronic pain, working through stress and anxiety, moving through hormonal changes, or simply hoping to feel more like yourself again, we’re glad you’re here. Acupuncture can be a meaningful part of your care, and our goal, always, is your whole health: physically, mentally, and hormonally.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first acupuncture session at Acuflo Therapy begins with a conversation, not a rushed intake. We want to get to know your health history, your goals, and what’s brought you in today, because that conversation is the foundation of your care.

From there, we’ll build a treatment approach that’s specific to you. The thin needles are placed gently and precisely, and most people find the experience deeply relaxing, often settling into a sense of calm that lingers well beyond the session itself.

Sessions typically run 30 or 50 minutes. How many you’ll need, and how often, depends on your goals and how your body responds along the way.

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a core practice within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It involves the gentle placement of very fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body, supporting the flow of energy, or qi, through pathways known as meridians. We look at the root of an imbalance, not just its surface symptoms, so your care considers both what you’re feeling now and what may be underneath it.

From a modern science perspective, acupuncture stimulates the facial lines & autonomic as well as central nervous system, encourages circulation, and helps regulate the body’s stress response. These two frameworks, ancient and contemporary, aren’t in conflict. They simply describe the same healing process in different languages, and at Acuflo Therapy, we hold both with equal care and respect.

Acupuncture for the Whole Person

At our clinic, we don’t treat symptoms in isolation. We look at your full picture: your physical health, your mental and emotional well-being, and the patterns that show up across both. We’re here for you through it all, from acute relief to long-term vitality.

Acupuncture stands well on its own, and it also works beautifully alongside occupational therapy, which we offer at our Squamish clinic. If you’re working with us across both services, your care is coordinated so every part of your treatment supports the whole you.

Outdoor Community Acupuncture

We host monthly Outdoor Community Acupuncture, a shared session held outdoors (in cold months it’s held inside) in a natural setting. Sessions are limited to a small group of up to 6 participants, seated in zero-gravity chairs paired with a sound bath for a fully immersive, restorative experience.

These sessions are offered periodically around specific event dates rather than as a standing weekly option, so keep an eye out for our next scheduled date.

This is acupuncture the way it was traditionally practised: in community, together.
